Aquatic Life Reno WiFi Multi-Color LED Aquarium Light

Update....This product lasted 5 months then died. It was sitting over the fish tank (as designed), was never submerged in water but managed to fill with water under the glass.. and short circuited. Pay more and get a better quality light. Especially considering the colors are way off.....original post continued....While you can set the timer and the functions using the phone app relatively easily. The color functions are totally off. It’s almost impossible to get any color outside of blue, green and white. Colors that you see in the app are NOT the colors you will get.With a LOT of patience you can get a few other colors, but if you are getting this in order to have a wide color spectrum... you are wasting you money. I kept it because I just needed more light and a decent timer.. this does the trick.You can program the lights by hour, by day, brightness and color. And it has some preset fading features.

I, like most people, ordered this light strip because I needed a certain length to properly fit inside my tank and create good light coverage. This is sold as a 48-inch light strip, (and it technically is with the wire extenders fully extended) but it is absolutely not a 48 in long light strip! The actual light strip is 42 1/2 in with 3 1/2 in being blacked out, therefore rendering the actual light strip to be 39 in. long. That difficulty and problem out of the way, the Wi-Fi functions (full color spectrum control and unlimited timer functions) are quite nice and the app does not seem buggy.

I bought this as supplemental lighting for a 24" long 15 gallon tank. Before I even plugged it in, i was disappointed that the actual LED strip only ran 17" inside of the 22 3/4" long housing. I bought it specifically to light the corners that my 18" Current USA fixture doesn't hit. Well, the new light doesn't really hit the corners either. It's also much dimmer than expected. I can hardly notice whether it's on or off if my primary light is running.The app is functional but low in features (no sunrise/sunset/weather options). The timer seems to work fine. No problems in that department.I think it would make a fine light for a tank with no plants that you wanted to be able to hook up to Alexa or a timer. Otherwise, it's far too dim and I would not recommend. It was cheap enough that I'm not going to bother returning.

Unfortunately I had to return this, as it wasn't bright enougb for my 55 gallon planted tank. I think if you had a shorter tank or one not planted, it would be enough light just for viewing. The app with all the functions is really cool! If maybe just a little confusing to set up. The light housing was very sleek and low profile, which is something I definitely look for in lights. I wish it would have been brighter so I could have kept it.

It works ok for the price but seems to have a major problem. It seems that if your power goes out it resets the light to factory mode which flashes like a strobe through the colors. It will show offline and appear into the open WiFi list. I had to manually reset it by flipping the switch in and off 4 times before i could re-connect it to my WiFi. Good luck doing that if you are not home. I was pretty satisfied until this happened... now not so much.

I really like this light ,so does my little bearded dragon baby , it does take a few hours to figure out , if you get aggravated sit it down for a while and come back to it , first go to play store and download app. Go to settings to wifi and add the LED#####TO WIFI SETTINGS , EVERY TIME YOU USE YOUR LIGHT YOU GO TO THIS SETTINGAND WHEN YOUR DONE YOU RESET YOUR REGULAR WIFI SETTING , ITS WELL WORTH THE MONEY , LIGHTS UP TANK WELL, YOU GOT TO TRY , FUN AND COOL , I GOT MINE SET ON A SETTING THAT SWITCHES 7 DIFFERENT COLORS slowly from one to the other

My units(2) came with damaged cord but I would not think that was the manufacturers fault, just the place I purchased from here on amazon....I ordered a couple of these and the light output on high is pretty weak but I’ll be supplementing these along a stonger fixed full spectrum strip that delivers better lighting in the same size and price range...It also has weak full spectrum capabilities....your not gonna be able to run multiple colors out of different diodes...it can basically do warm white and one other color to complement it... green, blue, turquoise,pink, red, green and yellow but a true full spectrum LED will have multiple diodes in different nanometer ranges...do not buy these to power a saltwater aquarium alone, I would only use these as supplemental lighting to achieve a specific look inside the aquarium...FYI the app and timer function are pretty sweet

I bought this for my grandma’s fish tank and she loves all of the features and colors it has. She especially likes the timer function since she always forgets to turn off the light. It did have a crack on one end but it doesn’t seem to affect it at all and the switch is in an inconvenient place but with the timer it’s not a big deal. Overall we are very happy with the new light so far.
