I wear an XL motorcycle helmet, and this beret fit perfectly without breaking it in. My spouse wears a size large Motorcycle helmet, and felt that after wearing it for a time it would probably end up being too big. The Gray is not a light gray, it is more medium. The hat is not 100% wool, and out of the packaging it already looked a bit "pilled". It felt warm, but it hasn't been tested yet. The price was great, so I do think I got what I paid for and might actually get another in a different color.
