Glad I have it in my gear collection. *by M***W on Reviewed in the United States on June 2, 2020* Great bugnet. I used it backpacking in the shawnee national forest. Bought it so my dog who hates hanmocks can sleep under me and still be protected from insects and snakes.I also had plenty of space to store my gear even with the dog in there. Lots of ticks and spiders where I was at so I wasn't keen on keeping my bag and shoes outside in the open knowing past experiences doing that not going so well. This bugnet was a great solution. It fit my dutchware gear 11' hammock with room to spare, should accommodate just about any gathered end hammock. Also you do not need to use the spreader bars or even the stakes with this if you want to save some weight.The pros:Great designSpreader bars keep the net off youEasy to set up (I really like the tensioner system this has for attaching to trees)Decent lightweight stakesNice and spaciousBathtub floor is large but not too large that you need to be concerned about it sticking out from under your tarp and filling with water.Nice zipperLoops inside for hanging thingsThe spreader bars seem light and sturdyThe cons:It's a bit heavy for backpacking at 2lbs (but you have to compromise here, it's basically a tent without a rain fly.) But, it's just about the best solution I've found for hammock camping with dogs.One of the spreader bars did not fit until after I cut some of the sticthing. Minor problem and easily fixed but I shouldn't have had to make a repair right out of the box.Overall, nice product and I will most likely continue using it even though it's on the heavy side. Really depends on the trip. But I'll definitely use it especially for car camping and short backpacking trips. And on canoe camping trips this bug net would be coming with for sure. Recently I've started using a bug net full time because for some reason, though I haven't actually seen a fly in years, recently I've had three inside. At first I put on a net from another manufacturer which is kind of form fitting and fits around the hammock and hangs from the ridge line. The zipper for that one was parallel to the hammock and slightly below the side of the hammock. It was okay, but it was too close and I felt like I stressed the zipper every time I got in or out. Another thing; I use this sleeping under a ceiling fan, but I really don't feel much breeze through it the net is so fine. It could get a little stuffy in there by morning. Oh, and it got even more crowded when I tried to use my under quilt inside the net. I wound up putting it outside the net for reasons more complicated than I will state here. Anyway, unsatisfied, I started to do some research and I am glad I did.This net - like all of my Grand Trunk products - is very generous. In fact, I have this thing stretched along to completely enclose my hammock and ridge line on my frame which, when taut is 12'-7" long and 4'-9" tall! Now I have access to my ridge line inside the net which is super useful.Also, and importantly, I no longer feel like the zipper will fail or the net will fail when I get in or out of it! I can get myself in the net completely, zip it up and then get in the hammy. It has spreader bars on top which keep it off of you. It's black, so outside you would be able to see stars if they were out. It's very roomy so I think it will be better with the stuffiness problem. Even if it's not, this thing is so roomy I could probably put a fan inside with me! :-DI would like to see the opening a little more centered. I mean, the vertical part of the J zipper is right in the middle, so the horizontal part is (for me because I have to have the opening on one particular side) more toward the foot of the rig rather than the middle. Not worth a ding and I will get used to it. In any event, it is far superior to what I had before.Thank you Grand Trunk!
