I was losing water level and my hot tub that is attached to my pool. Spring on the previous five was visibly broken. I bought this part, took off the clear plastic part, used it and the internal attached valve to replace the broken one. Holes lined up perfectly with the old part. This was the best value I found. I only needed the check valve flapper, but buying the entire assembly was a better price and an easy replacement. I simply removed the eight screws from the valve, removed the clear plastic cover and spring-loaded flap and replaced the old one with it. It does not bother me that I now have an extra black plastic housing.
