## Description

Air King’s 9718 industrial grade 18" ceiling mount fan provides powerful air movement to industrial and commecial spaces such as garages, fitness centers, offices, schools or other areas with limited floor space. The 9718 features a 1/6 HP motor that provides up to 3190 CFM of air movement. The head is able to be pivoted up or down for directional airflow as well as turned side to side. The blade, guard, and mount are all powder coated steel designed for years of worry free and durable operation. The unit comes with the ceiling mount bracket and hardware as well as a secondary safety cable. ETL listed and complies with OSHA requirements.

Review: Strong, solid design that moves a ton of air - This fan is great. I have it mounted in two car garage. I added a couple of 2x6's in the attic between the trusses and bought lag bolts to attach the base. As others have mentioned, some of the finish isn't perfect, but when it's on the ceiling, you can't see it. Once up, I bought a 3 foot section of ceiling fan pull and attached the included fan pull knob. The fan rotates side to side and up and down manually. I attached the included safety cable via an eye bolt and into the 2x6 in the attic. This fan is not going anywhere, even on full speed. It easily ventilates the garage on low and medium settings and cools things down quite a bit. I'm very impressed with the overall build quality and would easily buy this again or recommend it. Something to consider: the 4 lag bolts and washers weren't included, along with extra ceiling fan pull line to turn it on. In addition, if using the safety cable, buy an eye bolt. The lead is somewhere around 6 inches which was much too short for my ceiling height. Not drawbacks, just pick the stuff up at your local hardware store prior to installing.

**Q: Is this fan weather resistant?  I need one that an hold up to being munted under a porch awning.**
A: I use my fan in my garage.  I am located in Southeast Georgia, and relative humidity is always very high.  I have not had any problems with its operation or with it rusting.  I am glad I bought this fan, and I think you will be happy with the performance and the esthetics.  I would recommend it for under a porch awning.

**Q: Is the fan oscilating?**
A: No it's not oscillating, but u can easily turn it in any direction u want very easily with one hand.

**Q: Does the pivot point have a way to adjust for angle of fan?**
A: Yea, fan base rotates and it tilts on the pivot. You can point the fan anywhere.

**Q: is it a plug into a wall socket**
A: Yes. Three way prong plug in. We bought 2 for back patio, and they're great.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Air King Quality and Mounting Tip

I've got 3 Air King fans working in my basement to keep the air from stagnating. Two of the fans are the ceiling mounted versions I'm reviewing here (the remaining Air King is the same size, but free standing). I run all three fans on timers (on 15 mins - off 30 mins on a 24/7 cycle). The free standing Air King has been running like new for years whereas the cheap box fans I used to run would fail in about a year... the motors would quit or short.. Here's a mounting tip. The fan that I mounted to my floor/ceiling joists transferred unwanted vibration up into my kitchen (the fan being mounted in the basement directly under the kitchen). The fix was easy, I bought and installed anti-vibration rubber isolator mounts that I found here on Amazon between the fan and the mounting board I used to fix the works to the joists. Now the fan is quiet as a mouse!
