**Q: can this and the lid go into the oven? If so, what is the maximum temperature you can use it in?**
A: Even tho it has a metal handle I never use it past  450°. Should be heat safe up to that temp.  The average cooking temp is 350° for most recipes

**Q: Is the pan oven safe**
A: Yes, the pan is oven safe. Both saucepans & fry pans up to 450 degrees.  It is  VERY important to remember to use heavy pads or oven safe gloves when removing from oven after cooking.  Also be sure to let pan cool slowly... DO NOT IMMERSE or RUN WATER ON IT WHILE STILL HOT.  This will cause a product with an encapsulated base to seperate thus ruining it.
