I just plugged it in and sparks flew from it along with a loud popping noise. DO NOT BUY.It worked OK but is very cheaply made. The thumb nut that holds the tips in always loosens up even using the included wrench. The handle has plastic mold marks that are sharp. I would rate lower but it did work. For how long ? The Last time I used it. I plugged it in and as it heated up I heard a couple of popping sounds and then Sparks shot out of the soldering iron. I quickly unplugged it and As I picked it up the wire that plugs in the wall fell out from inside of the soldering iron. Completely unsafe!! Thank God it didn't start a fire in my garage!!
