It's thick enough to make it easy enough for a 5/6 year old kid to grab on, and climb. My son has taken to gripping the knots with his toes and climbing up that way. We installed a bell at the top to give him incentive to climb it. He loves it! Great product, 5 stars...

The picture doesn't do justice for what a great item this is. It's got a hook at the top, and an anchor bolt at the bottom. This rope is not 8ft, quite dissatisfied at the inaccurate description. Will be returning. The swing set in photo is approximately 10ft from ground. The rope is not even as low as the fully hanging swing.

I bought this for my kids to climb in the back yard...and me too. Its plenty long enough to add a few more knots since they are a little far apart as delivered. It seems well made so far. the material is a little more slippery than other rope materials I have climbed, but this is meant for outdoors, so I'm sure that's the reason.
