It is a fast-setting epoxy that cures at room temperature to form a rigid bond. Non-sag formulation ensures adhesive stays where applied. From the Manufacturer 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive DP100NS Translucent is a general purpose, rigid, two-part, epoxy adhesive that provides structural strength bonds on a wide variety of substrates including metals, ceramics, wood, and many plastics. It is a fast setting mercaptan-cure epoxy that combines high shear strength performance properties. Mercaptans cure epoxies rapidly at ambient temperature, are light in color, and contribute toward strong adhesion. This general purpose epoxy is formulated with a high viscosity that prevents sagging and stays in place at the point of application. The mix ratio is 1:1 and provides a 3-5 minute work life. The adhesive reaches handling strength in approximately 20 minutes and is fully cured in 24-48 hours (at 720F/220C). When cured, DP100NS exhibits a relatively low coefficient of thermal expansion, high dielectric strength and electrical resistance properties. Both mixing nozzle and applicator are required for dispensing from the Duo-Pak cartridge and are sold separately.
