Had to resort to 720p. With 720p selected, it seems ok and for my purposes (a small kitchen TV) it is would have been fine.Edit:Note 1) I dug up the TV manual and learned subsequently that the TVs max resolution is 1280 X 768 [RGB]. Therefore, the 720p setting vs 1080p is fine.Note 2) Had temporary loss of signal issues after a Roku software update which seemed resolved after switching HDMI cables. Perplexing because it was previously fine.Note 3) The "real kicker": I had to return this converter because it stopped sending blue to the TV from the Roku. I tried resetting every cable and resetting all the devices to no avail. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Keeping the old TV, HDMI blown ports or not... :) *by C***M on Reviewed in the United States on August 13, 2019* Due to a lightening strike, the HDMI ports went out on my TV so rather than throw the TV (last Samsung plasma that was made and the picture quality is fantastic!), I looked to solve by rerouting the cables. Ordered this and the component cables through Amazon to see if it would work and it solves my problem! Picture quality is just as good as HDMI only. With only one HDMI port in, you do have to switch if you have additional items but may be able to use an HDMI switch to solve for that.
