Worth noting, this is something you can absolutely build yourself with parts for less money (not a lot less mind you), the parts used here (save for the box that the control board is kept in) can all be bought freely on Amazon and programmed using guides online (ultimately using the exact same software to control the lights as this product does), wouldn't take more than a couple of hours... that said, if you don't want the hassle of doing all of that (or aren't that comfortable with soldering), this kit is worth the extra money spent (and I'm saying this as someone who did that very build myself, and then when that broke due to poor soldering on my part, I bought this to replace it).Once you find the instructions (scan the QR code on the packaging for the instructions, not the QR code on the control box since that one was too small for my phone to recognise it), set up takes little more than around 20 minutes.I will say the adhesion is okay, but not perfect. Make sure the surface you're sticking to (for most, the back of your monitor) is very clean. That said, the end that connects to the control box keeps coming off due to the weight, I'll have to find away to attach that more firmly, perhaps with tape.Once it's all set up with the software, it may take a little while to properly calibrate it so all the colours look right (for me, there were a few times I thought I'd got it right, and then when watching something else, I found the colours to be off, but after about a day or so of me intermittently tweaking the settings, I finally got it). You won't be able to get it exact, but a little tweaking here and there with the software will get it looking really good.For the price, I'd say this is a great product. Similar "plug and play" type products out there will be far more expensive; this works just as well, but requires a bit more set up. If you're okay with that, I'd strongly recommend for the price. I'm sticking with 5 stars despite the small shortcomings because it still does exactly what it sets out to do and does it very well. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Loses stickiness and falls off constantly *by S***. on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 November 2019* Firstly, these actually work really well. You download the Ambibox app, go in to your Device Manager and look under USB devices, one of the entries will say USB-SERIAL CH340 (COMX) where X is the port number, remember that port number.In Ambibox choose adalight and pop in the correct COM port, count how many LED's are stuck to the back of your TV/monitor, click "More settings" in the bottom right, click "Show areas of capture" then "Wizard capture zones", enter your settings and you're done. Choose mode "Screen capture" and "Windows 8" as "method of screen capture".It worked flawlessly for me, no flickering, nice and bright the only huge downside is that they'll fall off your TV/monitor within a few days, guaranteed. You'll probably want to find something stickier to use like number plate tape to keep them on. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic product with certain limitations *by A***A on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 December 2019* I LOVE this kit. It’s so easy to set up and get working as long as you know that there are limitations. I am using this with a Sony Bravia XG85 and unfortunately the back of the tv has a textured finish to it, making the adhesion pretty rubbish (NOT the fault of the product), but a hot glue gun sorted that issue out. The other thing to be aware is that this only works with the inbuilt tv source (ie the android tv and tuner) so anything connected to any of the HDMI connections doesn’t work. Also doesn’t work with DRM protected sources so Netflix and Amazon Prime TV is also a no go. Whilst this sounds limiting (again no fault of the product itself) for my needs (I use android IPTV, YouTube and stream tv and movies from my local network) this works phenomenally well. It basically extends the colours past the bezel of the tv making the tv look larger. Football games look AMAZING, as do films with lots of colours.
