This seemed like a great solution, with the alternative being buying a new fork with disc mounts which can purge you of between $60-150 bucks. When the mount arrived I was not very impressed; the mount just does not seem up to the task of handling the torque that occurs under hard front disc braking. The chinsy little clamp that attaches the mount to the leg of the fork was also too big. Now, why three stars? Here's the deal...if you have some decent fab skills (I do) and you know how to weld (I do) you can make this mount work. After placing the mount and making sure the brake caliper was positioned correctly, I welded everything into place. This made the mount way more robust. I ditched the little clamp and welded in some flat pieces of metal directly to the fork leg. Honestly, I would not run this mount without welding it into place, it relies completely on the chinsy little clamp and the tension generated by the wheel quick release. It's no wonder every picture of this mount has a wheel that bolts in...but who the hell would buy this thing and not have a quick release?
