I had the same issue as others with the microphone -- it was not working. Initially I plugged the headset into the top of the PC using the included splitter for the red and green plugs. After troubleshooting, I decided to plug the headset into the back of the PC using an empty USB slot and the red and green connecting plugs located nearby -- thereby not using the splitter. The microphone then worked. For others having similar issues I suggest giving it a shot. Overall I think it is a good price for keyboard, mouse and headset. It will be interesting to see if they hold up over time. The switch on the microphone seems cheap and I do think the keyboard letters/icons will likely rub off.
