They are very sharp and make a clean cut every time. They are very light and fit my hand very well. I mostly use them for deadheading flowers and pruning my tomatoes. I have used them for cutting snap dragon stems that are done blooming and they work well for that as well. My hands don't get tired using them. I would not use them for pruning woody vegetation, that's what garden pruners are for.
