This was specifically for the big fish to hide behind, bc it is 10”H, but after opening it and inspecting it, I can confidently say they will never pay any attention to this bc it offers them no protection or privacy to sleep, so i’m returning it. If I had a smaller tank in my house though… this would easily be my first choice because any smaller fish would love every part of this… but i’m talking very small like tetras or cory’s or something like that. The archway openings are maybe 1 inch at the most, so not even an adult convict would be able to get in there. Actually, I just measured and they are exactly 3/4 of an inch wide.. that’s why I am saying very tiny fish. It’s not a matter of just them fitting, it’s a matter of is it big enough for them to swim fast at to try to escape without brushing against something and hurting themselves and their pec fins. So any tiny fish will get the most benefit from this, but it’s not cheap, however it is worth the money if you have the right fish for it.
