Will my pontoon gate close over them as this will mount in the doorway?** A: They do not stick up much at all. We mounted it on our side entrance of the pontoon and had no problem opening and shutting the doorway. **Q: Do the black handles spin inwards for storage?** A: Yes. They turn in so the ladder becomes flat for storage. **Q: What is the radius of the hooks?** A: The radius of the hooks is close to 9". It was easy to install - i liked the telescopic feature of it as well. I was disappointed that the ladder did not hold up - we used it few times and none of us are heavy- and one of the ladder rungs will not stay in place- when you stand on it it slides down. I have adjusted it many times - all other rungs work fine. It makes getting in and out of the boat difficult and we just don't use it for side entry and just use the back of the boat. of course, it is no longer eligible for return at this time so A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY!!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Heavy-duty contruction *by A***Y on June 20, 2018* This ladder is extremely well built. The ladder rails are made from heavy-duty stainless steel. The folding standouts are also made from stainless steel. The steps are 16" wide and made from reinforced heavy plastic with a tread pattern. The top curved portion is especially heavy duty and has a rubberized material to help you grip with your hands.
