I think this is what is meant by zero firing. **Q: What is the size/ rating of the potentiometer in this unit?** A: not sure but i think it is a 200? i used it for a 2x72 belt grinder that i was building from a treadmill . i bought a different potentiometer for the unit if needed but it worked perfectly as is. no need to change.. **Q: Can this be used to vary the amperage on a dc welder** A: this is for Ac **Q: Could this be used to lower the voltage from the normal house voltage of 121v to 110v for a guitar amp that was built back when normal currents 110?** A: No, this is not appropriate as the AC waveform is chopped/distorted. Would buy again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ WORKS WELL *by S***. on March 15, 2024* This voltage controller is doing a nice job of running the DC treadmill motor that I retrieved out of a scrapped treadmill. I am using it to power a drum sander that I built. The only issues I had was that the potetiometer wires came unsoldered . They are very thin, and separated from the body of the potetiometer.
