I purchased this one because I actually keep the inverter continuously plugged in my car , between the center console and the lower left side of my passenger seat, for charging phones and or laptop etc. The red versions' cooling fins started to scrap my center console so I found this as an alternative. I am really not so sure how much those cooling fins on the red version worked, though the fan on both this and the red version seem to do just fine as I have not had any heat issues with this one as of yet.

I used to used one of the similar powered red one of these inverters here on Amazon that has the aluminum exterior with the cooling fin exterior. I purchased this one because I actually keep the inverter continuously plugged in my car , between the center console and the lower left side of my passenger seat, for charging phones and or laptop etc. The red versions' cooling fins started to scrap my center console so I found this as an alternative. I am really not so sure how much those cooling fins on the red version worked, though the fan on both this and the red version seem to do just fine as I have not had any heat issues with this one as of yet.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect solution for vehicles without an AC outlet

Well, most vehicles these days have plenty of USB connections to charge your devices in the car but what if you need to power your laptop or other small electronics? After using a much older generation Linksys DC to AC converter since 2005 which was about the size of a standard red brick and only offering a single AC outlet and limited by a 24" cigarette lighter cord. Fast forward 15 years and we have a converter that is about half the size same wattage AND two USB outlets! To top it off a longer power cord! (I didn't measure it but I'm guessing 36" which not will reach the footwell area of the backseat. So far no problems, no fan noise that I can hear while driving and doesn't overheat. For the price, I recommend this converter for your small electronics that run on AC only.
