Recently my daughter stayed with us and said as she was using the pink one that she thought it was going to be terrible based on the cute bright color but she said it’s amazing! So I had to buy one for her too. It’s the sharpest vegetable peeler I have ever used and peels very thinly which is good because many of a vegetables nutrients are right under the skin so you don’t want to remove too much. Very happy with these peelers and after using one for a couple of years with no decrease in sharpness, I think that mine are going to last a lifetime. I will leave a couple each to the kids in my will!
Review: I'm more enthusiastic about this potato peeler than a person should be - You know how grocery stores have that off-to-the-side bin of sale items? Things they don't ordinarily stock, then they remember why that is when the item doesn't sell? That was my first encounter with this peeler. I needed one for our travel trailer, it was cheap, and of course there was the brand recognition of the same folks who brought us the beloved Swiss Army Knife. Once I used it, I was impressed by the sheer sharpness, the slim ergonomics, and the fact it actually has a USEFUL potato eye remover at the tip. I knew at once I had to purchase another for home. The thing is so sharp, that I can actually never lift the peeler off the veggie, and just use a back-and-forth scraping motion I like to term "stealth mode". Our two Boston Terriers are cutting board groupies, so they are usually underfoot during peeling...aka "The Carrot Show". The only word of caution is that this is SO sharp that I have actually peeled off the top of my thumbnail on a misguided stroke. Buy two. You'll mourn the day when it becomes dull and unusable, and nobody can say how long Victorinox will stay in the vegetable peeler business.

Love this peeler just purchased my 4th one. Three for me and one as a gift. Mine was always in the dishwasher so I got another then one day they were both in the dishwasher so I got another! Waiting for the day all three are in the dishwasher and I’m back here again! lol I buy them in bright colors so they are easy to spot in my drawer because they are sharp and a vegetable peeler is one of those items I always seem to have to rummage for - but not these ones! I love this peeler. After using basic straight cut standard peelers for years I bought this one. Now, no more dropping the potato or red beet because I have to push down so hard with the dull peeler that the veggie slips out of my hand. With this super sharp, serrated blade much less pressure is needed. Did I say it's sharp?! Watch your fingers. Absolutely worth it.
