It is 100% cotton on the face and reverse, which has been difficult to find. So many listings are not accurate in this regard.It is decently thick. Not the thickest, but not thin. It seems good enough for year round use.The size of the California king is good. It is wide enough to cover our mattress on the sides.The pattern is nice.The included pillows are the weakest part, but it should not be difficult to find other pillows to match the comforter.

I absolutely love this set! The design is printed on, so no fraying of embroidery. The comforter feels very light but provides ample comfort and keeps you very warm at night. I purchased the California King and it's definitely large enough to fit the bed! I feel like it's a little pricey but it certainly changed the look of my beach themed bedroom, so I'm glad I purchased it.
