Ring must be put on the top about 1" to 2" from the ball with the set screw on top. The Rotating Mounting Ring on the bottom must have the set screw on the bottom. Tighten the top ring where you want the flag and leave the bottom ring loose. Install the flag on the clips and pull the bottom ring down until the flag is fairly tight. Tighten up the set screw and check to make sure the flag will rotate around the pole without hanging up. If it hangs up move the bottom ring up slightly and try again. Do this until the flag rotates freely. I gave it four stars only because I don't know how long the bracket and rings will last. Remember this pole is designed for flags with one grommet hole on top and one on the bottom. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not the most sturdy. *by J***S on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on November 12, 2020* The wall mount is plastic. Over a short time the flag poll starts to sag towards the ground when the poll is in the strait out position. The base of the product is plastic and with heavy winds, you have to remove the flag all together as it looks like it is going to bend and break.
