And the big Lamsonsharp knife with the curved 12 inch blade and just the one handle over the top of it. (not listed with the Lamsonsharp available through Amazon, although I've seen it several other places.)I did take the scraper to take a few high places off the board. Feels much better now.Those right aggressively curved blade knives are nice to use, especially if you've got a bowl-shaped chopping block to keep onion bits from going everywhere. I'm glad to get a bigger (vaguely) bowl-shaped that fits the big knife reasonably well.

This item is not well made. I wish I had returned it when I still had the opportunity, but time got away from me on this one. When it arrived, I could see a poorly disguised patch job, where the wood was starting to separate. Also, the item is not as pictured. In the photo, it looks like there's an obvious depression in the board, as there is supposed to be. The board I received barely had any depression at all. Now, there are large cracks in the board where the pieces glued together are separating. It will soon be in the landfill I'm afraid, or stoking a fireplace somewhere. This is by far the most disappointing item I have purchased on Amazon.

This item was shipped quickly. Along with the blade, this board is great for chopping fresh herbs from my garden. I oiled the board thoroughly with mineral oil.

I bought this board to work together with the BlissHome Nigella Lawson's Living Kitchen Herb Chopper and it really does. No cracking or other unpleasant surprises until now (I've been following the recommendations about frequent mineral oil treatment). Great quality too.

Just use a food processor.
