Always wet your hair first with cold water to close the cuticles. You can even put a little conditioner on your hair.

These two steps will help protect your hair from chlorine. 

Wash your hair thoroughly after swimming in a chlorine pool.

**Q: Do you need to regular shampoo afterwards? Conditioner?**
A: I wouldn't say that you have to use another shampoo or conditioner, but I  Recommend it. you definitely want to make sure you rinse it all the way out or it will itch and feel a little sticky.  Personally, I use a regular shampoo and conditioner after I use it  Because it makes my hair a lot softer.
