A: There's a good chance it'll work right out of the box, mine did upon receiving it. However, it can be easily programmed in case it connects to the wrong TV (if you have multiple of the same type in your house), instructions are on the back of the battery cover and its very short and simple.

Ive had Verizon cable since 2017 and the remote is at least that old. My buttons stopped working and it took forever just to change channels. I had to use the tv remote for volume but everything else was on the cable remote. Ordered this remote and it even included batteries. Followed the programming instructions on back of remote! And voila! Everything works again!
