## Description

For a Fifties era aircraft, the F-8 Crusader was far ahead of its time. It had remarkable variable incidence wings which allowed it to significantly increase lift for take-off runs. It was the first us aircraft capable of flying faster than 1,000 mph. Additionally, it was the last us fighter aircraft to be equipped with guns (4 20mm autocannons) as the primary armament. Crusaders fought over Vietnam and served with the French and Philippine navies as well. Skill level 3 125 pieces length: 13.7 in (348 mm) width: 8.9 in (226 mm) age 14+

Have built three of these (both -J's and -E's).. Hasegawa has made a great kit which almost falls together. High detail and realistic. Options for raised variable incidence wing and dropped slats and flaps. Will build more, this kit is the gold standard Crusader in 48th scale.
