I tried to find charcoal filters to go in my air conditioning unit, but found none, I tried a new air filter in my bedroom which didn't do anything to help, I even slept with a strip of a water soaked hand towel over my nose to prevent me from inhaling smoke at night. So, I was excited when I found these masks that were made with charcoal particles in them, and I couldn't wait to try them. I find them to be excellent for preventing me from breathing in smoke from neighbors in the area burning their fireplaces. It is the only thing that I have found that works. They block out all smoke and bad smells. I have asthma, have had pneumonia several times, & my lungs are very sensitive to smoke, perfumes, & all kinds of sprays. So, BOY am I glad that I found these masks. Now every time I smell smoke or anything disagreeable, I grab one of these masks.
