My 3 yr old will actually sit on floor and wiggle on it while watching TV or coloring for longer periods. MY 8 yr old granddaughter who struggles to sit still without climbing all over the chair, will also sit still for longer periods. In fact, both of them will choose to sit on the seats themselves without anyone telling them to. My other grandaughters all below the age of 10 also love to sit on them when doing activities.
