The head pillow really does make a difference when breastfeeding (vs flat Boppy style pillows.) I can practically be hands-free while my newborn nurses. And you just slip it off and move it to whichever side you're feeding from. I've already washed it, according to instruction, and it held up great in the wash. No shrinking or tearing. I love that the little pillow can be attached/detached very easily, but still holds together very well when attached. Everything washes very easily. The opening is a bit wider than another popular brand, which I’m really happy about because it will fit around me while I feed my baby. It comes with a small pillow to attach, so that my son can be propped up on it and the thing I’m most thrilled about is that the entire pillow comes apart, so I can add some stuffing into it. This will allow me to make it more or less firm, however I like, and can wash all the parts (except the stuffing alone).
