Review: Controllable Pump frequency and duty cycle. Must have! Worth every penny and probably under priced. - This is a decent product for control of brushless motors and water pumps. My case is a Pierberg CWA-400 and this works flawlessly. There is another similar controller on desertcart but watch out as it does not have selectable frequency as this model does have full range of duty cycle and frequency. Pierburg pumps like 50-150hz and 95% duty cycle is 100% motor speed. If you set for 100%, the logic in the pump will allow for 90% pump speed. Just FYI, this is stated in the water pump manual/data sheet and test in my lab and in my car. 5 stars as it does what it claims and the internal clock is really close as verified by my rubidium standard.
Review: Perfect for students, electronic hobbyists, makers and DIY enthusiasts! - This signal generator is a small, easy-to-use stand-alone panel-meter-size device intended for a circuit design and prototyping bench or testing environment. Its overall build quality and high performance-to-cost ratio make it ideal for students, electronic hobbyists, makers and DIY enthusiasts. It can be used as-is or it can be easily mounted in a larger panel. It only draws a few tens of milliamps so it can be powered by almost any available DC supply from 3.3V to 30V. There is no provision for controlling output amplitude but an external potentiometer can be easily added to do this. The output source resistance is about 1 kilohm and the output waveform swings to within a few millivolts of the power supply rails. This makes it very easy to drive associated logic. Settings are remarkably stable with changes in power supply voltage over the full range, from 3.3V to 30V. A front panel button conveniently enables and disables the generator output during prototyping and testing. The LCD is bright and easy to read. It provides accurate display of operating frequency and duty cycle. A single front panel knob provides for fast setup of both frequency and duty cycle. There appears to be a serial interface that can also be used to set these values, but the rudimentary documentation and lack of headers on the printed circuit board prevent me from testing this functionality. There are two different operating modes, Normal and Precise. The Precise mode offers better duty cycle granularity over a narrower range of frequencies. A very important feature of this unit is its ability to preserve frequency and duty cycle settings after power cycling. Whatever the settings are prior to power being removed will be restored when power is re-applied. In addition, the settings are lockable, making it easier to keep your associated circuitry safe from unintentional changes. One feature I find particularly useful is the ability to set upper and lower limits for duty cycle. My video demonstrates use of this generator’s programmable lower and upper duty cycle limits to control a small RC Servo through 180 degrees of rotation. A single 18650 Li-Ion cell could power this setup for days without recharging.

## Features

- 1. It's 1-channel PWM output signals. The Adjustable Frequency Range: from 1Hz to 150KHz. Please Note: 1Hz is the limit value. It is relatively large to receive external interference, such as wires or wireless or high temperature, so the fluctuation will be relatively large. It is recommended to use an output above 1Hz.
- 2. Shell Protection and Clear LCD high definition Display: Display both Frequency and Duty Cycle in more clear status. High precision detection.
- 3. Dual Work Mode. Support both Frequency Adjustment and Duty Cycle Adjustment. Support UART. Support enable output.
- 4. Support power-down memory function: no need to set the data after power-off. Knob supports lock function to avoid misoperation.
- 5. Wider Application: Square wave signal generator, generating square wave signal for experimental development, generating square wave signal that controls the motor driver, and generating adjustable pulses for MCU Dimmer; Dimmer; Speed governor, and so on.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I have this whdts signal generator its looking like it can't control a pwm coil what is amp rating for this unit? what might i be needing then?**
A: You need to add a power Mosfet. Onyehn 0-24V Top Mosfet Button IRF520 MOS Driver Module For Arduino MCU ARM Raspberry pi 6 Pack

**Q: I have an expensive boat tachometer i wish to test. will this generate the proper waveform to simulate an rpm signal from the engine sensor?**
A: Yes it will. You will get a square wave form. This unit will let you check the full range of the tachometer
's linearity and even beyond.

**Q: Can this be set for fractional frequencies, like 10.5Hz?**
A: The frequency resolution on the push-button version is X.XX below 10Hz, and XX.X between 10.0 and 99.9Hz. Therefore, a frequency setting of 10.5Hz is obtainable. Not sure what the resolution is in these ranges for the dial-control version.

**Q: Can this be able to put pwm signal bypass radiator fans on a vw mk5 the control module**
A: If you are looking for a way to power the WHDTS with the 12V DC vehicle power and output a PWM signal to the radiator fan you can control the fan speed. If you are wanting to fake out a module on the vehicle you could also be successful. I have purchased a few of these and mounted them in plastic project boxes with 5-way binding posts and we use them in a lab off of a DC power supply to control the speed of 3-wire computer style cooling fans.
