I tested it briefly; it appears to be sturdy and of good quality out of the box. There are lights in each wheel that light up when they rotate which is a feature I think he will like. I’m not sure how long they will last and it’s a little unfortunate that a battery or bulb can’t be replaced if the lights do stop working. However, I was aware of this prior to my purchase.
