The reason I chose this model of the smaller $75ish 32 inch vizio, is because this model had DTS AND Dolby(the cheaper one only had DTS). This one also has 2.75" speaker drivers compared to 2.5". I honestly don't know how much of a difference any of that really makes, but I am really happy with my decision. I like that it comes with all the audio cables needed for the different inputs. I'm using optical, but it's nice to have the coaxial and 3.5mm to RCA cable if needed later. No support for HDMI ARC, but honestly if you need that option you'd probably be buying a more expensive option anyway. It does support Bluetooth if you want to stream audio from your mobile device. There are buttons on top of the sound bar for basic control, the included remote is needed for things like turning on and off the surround option and adjusting the bass/treble. There is a line of white LEDs down the left side of the front. This is just for basic feedback to tell you what the volume level is and for displaying what input you're using. Some people have complained about this and said that it's confusing. I found it to be simple and easy to understand. The sound quality is really a step up from a normal TV. I was really impressed, and I think most people would be happy with it for $100. There is an output for a subwoofer if you want to add one. I think that it has enough bass for most people, but I'm glad there is that option. I don't think you can do much better for the price. I've been using mine almost daily for 2 months with zero performance issues. No rattling or defects, so far. TruSurround simulates a surround sound experience. Unsure how to explain this, but the sound seems "more spread apart" in terms of the lows, mids, and highs. The bass is great in this mode. If you sit close enough to the sound bar, it actually does feel like you're sitting in a surround sound experience. For me, though, there was a bit too much distortion in some dialogue with this feature on. If I am watching a movie (which is when you'd want this on!) unfortunately I'll turn this feature off. Music sounds good with this feature on. TruVolume normalizes the volume level so the really loud and really soft noises aren't as far apart in volume level. This is a REALLY GOOD feature for movies and shows in which the dialogue is difficult to hear! I recommend turning this feature off if you're listening to music. Although there certainly is no true deep base from this sound bar without a sub woofer, I think that many users will find the amount and depth of sound from this pleasing as is. Keep in mind, there is a reason that high end sound bars start hundreds of dollars more than this costs. What you are getting with the Vizio SB2920-C6 is a vastly more pleasing audio than what the standard LED tv speakers can provide, and it performs well as that, but it is not to be mistaken for "audiophile" quality. **Q: I want to hook the sound bar up to a Samsung 50" TV. I see that the Optical cable is frequently purchased with this. Do I need one?** A: You do not need the Optical Cable. I would suggest purchasing a Samsung Sound Bar. I have a Vizio TV Set and it works absolutely fine. I did not use the Optical Cable because the TV is hooked up to Optimum Cablevision. You have to program the remote to your TV set. It comes with a manual showing you how to do it. I. This is something you need to decide on.. I would contact Samsung and see if it is alright. Samsung is A very good product. I'm using a comcast xr5 remote and it works to control tv and sound bar if programmed properly. The xr2 remote and regular comcast remotes do not work with this sound bar. The xr5 requires the xfinity X1 system and I was able to switch the xr2 remote that came with it for the xr5 for this purpose. Here's why. For the first several weeks I was very happy with it. The sound (this was my first sound bar) was quite good and did exactly what I wanted it to do...bring out the dialog. I'm 69 and my mid range hearing is not so good any more. In fact it brought out much more than I expected. I realized I had been missing a lot more audio than I thought. I could even enjoy music over it, even with the lack of bass. I was about to add a subwoofer when the remote stopped working. Now what do I do? No easy sure way to use something else; no remote app for this model, maybe a universal remote with one of the codes I found on the internet but no guarantee. I thought about buying another remote but what actually was wrong? The remote, the sensor in the bar, who knows? Off to find a new sound bar. In the meantime I decided to try it on my computer. Wow! This thing makes a great computer speaker. It's right above the computer on a shelf on a wooden desk. Separation, detail, even bass was amazing. I may add a subwoofer at some time but it's pretty good as is. And it's easy to just reach up to turn it on. Once the volume was adjusted I used the computer to change levels. So, no remote needed. So I went on a hunt for a new soundbar for my TV. I won't go with Vizio again because of the remote problem. I'm getting a Yamama bar. Here's why: they have an app for your smart phone that can run it if the remote craps out. I can only hope it sounds as good as the Vizio. Look at the reviews. This remote thing is a major issue for Vizio and I'm certain is hurting sales. In my case I was lucky. I'm so happy with it on my computer I would have bought it just for that. However, because of the remote issue I can not recommend this product. I'll add my thoughts on the Yamaha bar compared to this one when I have some time with it. Update: Just before throwing out the remote I decided to try it again...and it works. (sigh). Others have described this hit or miss behavior with the remote.
