EXCELLENT performance deserving "Professional Grade" designation. Happy with quality!

OK so you are looking for a wireless mic - so basically you want a transmitter that can record quality, crisp, clean sound from a distance away and transmit that into your recording device--like a phone or a camera or whatever you use. You want it to be easy to use, intuitive, and simple to operate. You want the transmitter to be powerful and you want it light-weight. Right? WOW this product actually has it all. I bought it and used it to record several sessions and I thought it was wonderful! Here's the breakdown of the review of each component:Transmitter:The most common use of the transmitter is by placing the mic on the subject’s belt (or pocket, but mostly belt) and run the mic wire under his shirt, and then clip the mic to his collar or jacket lapel, etc. Once the mic is turned on (i.e. the transmitter is on), the remote mic begins to work. Push the power once to turn on. Push and hold for 2 seconds to turn off. Easy. Not a bit of fuss.I’ve done some presentations and recordings using a wireless mic just like this one. One of the most frequent problem that occurs in the middle of the recording is the audio line (i.e. the mic wire) coming loose from the receiver. After all, the subject moves and people move around all the time during a presentation, they stand up, sit down, and do all kinds of things. It is easy for the mic wire to come undone from the transmitter in these circumstances. I am very surprised (pleasantly!) that this unit (being a profession grade) comes with a screw-in mic wire plug such that the mic wire will never come undone in the middle of a presentation. This is brilliant. I like it a lot. After you plug in the mic wire, screw the brass screw down, the wire will never come off accidentally during a recording session. Then unscrew and unplug when it’s time to stow away the transmitter. (Or just leave the mic wire in, why not? You'll need it again next time anyway)The transmitter has a good, strong belt clip that clips onto a belt, pant waist if there’s no belt, or inside the pocket, or a shirt pocket, or inside the breast pocket of a jacket. You don’t have to use the clip--it’s just there allowing for a variety of scenarios. The mic wire is long enough to run the transmitter from just about anywhere on a person from the waist up.Transmitter power & charging: It has a standard USB-micro 5V plug that allows you to use just about any USB charger and cable in the world. It is very convenient. The unit is very light-weight and I believe it is lithium powered in order to be this light. I used a transmitter before that weighed 2x or 3x as this unit and bulkier, not as slim as this one. But anyway, the ease of standardized USB charging port makes life easy without having to find that specific charger and cable (i.e. you lost your cable, it is damaged, etc.) It is cheap and easy to replace a standard USB-micro cable. And no need to bring an extra cable when you are on the go. Just use the one you charge your phone with or something like that. Well, haha not apple because those aren’t compatible with anything else in the world. Lol.Transmitter range: probably the most important question. I tested recording from 30 ft away in a house and the audio was crisp clear. No issue whatsoever. There are 4 channels (see the attached photo and video) to select from. The receiver automatically switches with the transmitter. This is an advantage. Why? Sometimes in the middle of the recording you discover interference and you want to switch to a different channel. All you need is push the channel changer button once on the transmitter and that’s it. You don’t have to hunt and peck and try to match the channel on your receiver. You don’t have to walk back to your camera to switch the channel on the receiver. You don’t have to go “hello? hello? Can you hear me now?” That’s just so 1978. With this transmitter you just push “channel” and everything switches to match instantly. Now you might ask: why not test it out at 100 ft? 250 ft? Well, you test it out and let me know.. lol. I don't find myself recording anything at that distance! At 100 ft I can barely see the subject I am filming. At 250 ft?? So really it's not about the range for range sake. It's about practical (and actual) use. Anywhere from 15-30 ft is about the typical recording scenario you'll most likely run into.Transmitter Line-in: Want to record audio or sound track or…? Tired of speaking into the Mic? Cue the music! Plug the audio stream into the Line-In port and it will transmit that to the receiver. Now this is the only recommendation I have on this product is that if there’s a “Mic Off” button that’d be great. However, I have not found a scenario where I’d actually need Line-In and Mic-in back and forth. If I want to record audio I could just plug the audio directly into the recoding device .. why transmit it? But anyway. There is that option!Ok now onto the receiver!!Receiver mounting: It comes with a standard tripod mount so it will go on any tripod. I am showing you one in the photo. On the back of the receiver there is a phone clip (adjustable too!) Just extend it and close it down tight on your phone, and connect the short Line-Out cable to your phone’s recording jack. Done! Phone = camera = any other recording device. I say phone a lot because these days people use their phone as an all-in-one device. Note that some newer phones (maybe iphone??) don’t have a line-in plug anymore. So beware of your recording device’s available input options.Receiver power & charging: Just like the transmitter, it has a standard USB-micro charging port. It is also very light weight and I suspect it is lithium as well. It is also very slim in profile. The power turns on with one click, and press & hold for 2 seconds to turn off. The blue light in the front only lights up when the transmitter is also turned on to indicate to you that the two have paired up. When the transmitter is OFF, the blue light will not turn on. The blue light is bright enough to see from across the room so with one glance you can tell whether or not your transmitter is talking to your receiver. This is a very nice feature.Receiver output: There is that line-out port as mentioned earlier. It goes into whatever device you want the sound to go to. There is ALSO a headphone jack! So you can have an “Audio Engineer” listening in while recording. . Now that’s cool! Not that I can afford an “Audio Engineer” or anything… lol But .. yes, it is cool you can have someone sending you hand signal telling you to speak up, or move the mic closer, or signal “change channel” because there’s interference. Or signal “shut up” because there’s too much talking going on. You decide!Quality: As tested, at 30 ft from across the house there is no issue at all. Very crisp, clear, crystal sound quality. Both the transmitter and receiver have done well! There is a volume control on the receiver to pump out low, medium, or high volume into your recording device. I probably would just set it on High (or medium) and just leave it.All things considered, this truly is (and feels like) a PROFESSIONAL GRADE product. I am very happy with it and I am going to use a lot. I have been playing with it and recording with it for a few hours and I have not yet have the need to recharge it. I don’t suspect anyone will run into battery problem in a typical day’s recording session. Giving everything, I believe this product deserves 5-star rating in every aspect. Check out my photos and vids - a picture is a thousand words, right? Is a video 1 million words?Anyway, enjoy! Thanks for reading! Hope this helps a bit! Happy hunting!

    Great but delicate

*by J***L on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on March 20, 2021*

I purchased this product with a receiver and 2 transmitters in April of 2020 to use with our church sound system, coming from the headphone output and transmitting the signal to a phone which was being used for Facebook Live. First impressions: cheap build for the receiver, excellent build for the transmitters, the battery life on the receiver is terrible, maybe 3 hours and the sound quality takes a serious dive, but the transmitters don't seem to need charging nearly as often, ran one for a total of 6 hours without issue (Charging the receiver a total of 3 times). The 1/4" adapter is too shallow so you will want to have a very shallow screw on your tripod. The included case is very nice. The signal and sound are absolutely excellent, even though my phone couldn't handle the full output and we had to use the headphone output and even turn that down a bit.OK, so here is the biggest gripe and complaint, because I was FINE with all of the small annoyance of battery life, shallow screw hole, and cheap-ish build, but the Micro USB socket on the transmitter has had small issues since day one, it was very loose and had to be carefully plugged in to charge, and when I tried to plug it in last night I heard a loud cracking noise, now it won't charge, so I opened the case and sure enough, all of the solder pads peeled clean off the circuit board. It wouldn't be too bad if I could replace it, but the pads even came off. This thing is very delicately built and easy to break. So I am not saying that you shouldn't get this, but I am saying that you should be VERY delicate with how you plug it in and unplug it. I would recommend this product, but really wish that they would have put a few cents worth of effort into strengthening the charging port just a little bit. Maybe a change to the case, slightly better tolerances (the case is loose), an extra anchor point...

    Well Designed, Great Audio Quality

*by K***E on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on July 18, 2020*

It's always a step up with your iPhone videos when you can put the microphone near the action and not use the microphone on your device. After looking at what was available, this unit looked to fit the bill. I haven't been disappointed. It connects nicely to the back of my iPhone 11 Max. It was easy to plug into my iPhone lightning output, although you'll need an adapter for that. If you have another type of phone with an audio output you'll be OK with the included cabling.I have only the one transmitter, but the receiver can accommodate two.I've used the transmitter both on people (attached to their lapels) or just planted near the action and aimed accordingly. The audio quality is first rate and I noticed no dropouts or distortion from the wireless feature.I recommend heartily!
