I’ve tried and they don’t work like this works, and for many reasons.I have 3 kids all under the age of 4 and I am a super clean freak. Literally cleaning OCD like crazy. My family thinks I’m crazy. With that said I like trying things to make my motherhood job easier and also my life of cleaning faster and less stressful. As it states it’s not just a splat mat, and that’s very true. You can see from my pictures that my uses are for a toy mat, park/picnic mat and play mat. And what makes it so much easier is it’s large to play on but doesn’t not take up any room in the washer or bag , it drys faster than a towel and folds up small but best of all it GRIPS! The grippy back is great, your kids won’t slip on the floor and neither will the chair or toys or whatnot that sits on top. I took it recently to the water park and it was hot out, my kids could sit on it without it retaining to much heat and it wicked away the water super fast. By the time we left it was dry. Unlike towels or blankets you can just shake off the dirt and wipe the messes gone. I use it inside and outside, ALOT.... so if I were you buy two.
