I didn't have very high hopes for these swords. I ordered 2 of them and was basically going on faith that they would be at least "okay" looking as I am giving them as a gift. Well, this sword is way better than okay; if anything they are pretty fantastic looking. I was really impressed. The handle is made of a very hard plastic but it has a good design on it and holds the blade well. The sword did come oiled and wrapped up in plastic in a pleather sheath just as another reviewer stated. The handlebar gripping lever does work as well, but it only goes up and down. The blade does not eject. The sword itself is not sharp, except for the end, which is very pointy and could probably accidentally impale a person if stabbed with, so I don't recommend thrusting it in anyone's direction for sure. This would probably be a good buy for someone who is wanting to do a cosplay or just hang it on a wall. The blades do say "Made in China", but I believe it is just a sticker that you can peel off, but please don't quote me on that as I didn't try to do so. The shipping was also really fast. I placed the order on November 12th and received the swords together on November 19th, 4 days before they were scheduled for delivery. I very much look forward to seeing the look on my son's face when he opens this on Christmas Day! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My Final Battle. *by D***M on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 23, 2018* Wednesday May 23rd, 2350 A.D. I am writing this review in the treetops outside of Wall Maria. All my comrades have perished and I am physically exhaused. I've run out of blades and gas on my maneuvering equipment. I'm surrounded by Titans.....I fear for the worse. As my last resort to survive I purchased these swords hoping they would lead me to safety. These are not Survey Corps edition swords. They are not sharp enough to cut the nape of a Titan which has left me in bit of a pickle. They don't eject blades and the connection on the end of the sword is a piece of string. I'm beginning to think these are not meant for battle. If by some miracle I happen to survive I will give them to Armin, for they seem to be better suited for him. Tell Mikasa I love her! Farewell.. Obviously not very sharp but there's no real need for that, it'd make a very good decoration piece or is ok for cosplay although I'd be careful cause it's still dangerous if you don't handle it right. There's no need for this sword to be any sharper than it is for a couple reasons: 1) the balance point is off due to aesthetic reasons and so wielding it for real combat it'd be pretty heavy for a 1 handed sword, and because of the hand grip style doing a lot of cutting with this sword would wear on you ring finger. 2) is its stainless steel and due to the material and construction of it (to make it look as close to the anime as possible) it would be easy to break this sword.But with all that said it looks great and feels good to handle especially with the working hand brake.
