Designed to last for everyday use, the sliding glass door handle set features a diecast construction with a black finish. This item includes installation instructions and all the fasteners necessary for the installation of this handle set, including the 2-11/16 inch keeper that mounts on the jamb. **Q: how do you make it fit a 1" thick door?**
A: It is the length of screw. You would need machine screw #8-32x 1 1/4".

**Q: Will the key unlock the door with the on/off switch in any position? Or does the switch disable the key access?**
A: yes. the only thing is once the key is done engaging the latch, you have to return key to the "neutral" position to get it out.
