This means cleaner lines and fewer lead breaks compared to regular mechanical pencils. The grip feels comfortable, the build is solid, and it’s lightweight for long writing sessions. Easy to refill and reliable — a great choice for students, artists, and anyone who writes a lot.
Review: Buy if you like not need - I have had other mechanical pencils but this one is the best by far. The pencil is easy to grip, smooth on paper, and strong material. The only problem is the eraser not only because it’s super tiny and can’t erase to save its life. But also because you can’t really use it or else you’ll lose your entry point to put in more lead. But other wise it’s good.

A: You can use .5 lead from anywhere, but the kurutoga leads are specially made to help with the consistent wearing of the tip so that its the most even.

**Q: Is this pencil number 2. Can i use on the usa scantron test sheet**
A: You can buy .5mm HB lead for this pencil and that would be the equivalent to a number 2.

**Q: Is this pencil good for drawing manga and illustration?**
A: This is a matter of personal opinion. I do not find these good for drawing characters and illustrations because I prefer a sharper point for drawing. These pencils constantly rotate the lead so it stays evenly worn. This creates more of a blunt lead. This is great for mechanical drawings, architecture and such. Hope this helps.

**Q: What size eraser does this pencil use?**
A: I phoned Mitsubishi Enpitsu to ask yur question.They said that the length of its eraser was 8mm and width was 5mm.

I have had other mechanical pencils but this one is the best by far. The pencil is easy to grip, smooth on paper, and strong material. I bought this pencil around February 2018 but never left a review till now that I need a new replacement. This is by far the best mechanical pencil I have ever used. Fast forward to January 30th, 2026, the tip of the pencil came off — it can be twisted back into place, though, not as firmly. I’ve been exclusively using this pencil as my go-to for lab reports/other studies, and it has never failed me. But seeing as I might need to get a new one soon, there’s no other pencil that can compare with its rotating graphite mechanism. I am genuinely so glad I found this pen, it has truly helped me cut back on spending money stationary items I don’t need. Oh, and it looks just like the picture if anyone cared : )
