The other end is some sort of special scuba diving quick connect and i'm just guessing that a special compressor/source of air is needed. I have successfully connected my hose to an industrial quick connect fitting by doing the following: 1) cut off the special quick connect that comes on the hose 2) insert a 5/16" hose barb w/ 3/8" NPT into the hose 3) secure the hose barb with 2 small stainless steel hose clamps 4) attach a 3/8" pipe connector to the NPT threads 5) attach an industrial quick connect male fitting. I used a thin layer of teflon tape on all threads to help ensure leak proof connections. The 5/16" hose barb is slightly larger than the 8mm inside diameter of the air hose but i was able to push it on without any lubricants or heating the hose. It was a trial and error process for me as i couldn't find anyone who knew much about this type of quick connect fitting. **Q: Can air hose connect directly to dive tank?** A: The connection of the pipe is not directly connected to the cylinder. Cylinders need to be connected to the valve, according to your different use connected to the valve thread is different **Q: Is this food grade?** A: If it’s not food grade then it shouldn’t be used for scuba.
