Goes on very smoothly. Great price for good quality product! Review: I ruined an oil painting I purchased. This fixed it. - I purchased an antique oil painting from a British seller, sight unseen. It was painted between 1905-1915 and was quite dirty. I had used white vinegar to successfully clean other old paintings I've purchased. But, I am an idiot. I used rubbing alcohol by mistake and completely ruined the painting. It was washed out, the colors dim, pale. I had owned it for less than 24 hours and felt terrible for the artist who lovingly painted it more than one hundred years ago and for myself for being such a stupid boob. I know absolutely nothing about art restoration, yet I googled ruined oil painting, found the Gamblin picture varnish and decided I had nothing to lose by trying it. It came back a bit after the first coat I brushed on, so I did a second, third and finally a fourth. It looks great! The colors revived, there is a beautiful shine to the work. Obviously, this is not as good as a painting lovingly cared for but better than it looked when it arrived from the seller. I'm happy I can enjoy the painting as I'd hoped to when I purchased it.
