Very Happy. - I put these in my 80s Ibanez Roadstar II PJ bass. I actually used them to replace a set of EMGs that crapped out on me and I wasn't able to get working again. There were no wiring glitches in mine, and they worked as soon as I put them in. They sound better than the EMGs, when blended. The J pickup is a little harsh by itself, but the P is fantastic and can be used alone for a nice hot-rodded Precision sound. I would suggest to the seller a few quick disconnects or solderless connections for the battery and the bridge pickup, because the only way to install these is to cut the wires, thread them, and re-solder with heat shrink insulation. I also had to extend a couple of the wires in the same way. But anyone with even meager soldering skills can easily do this. It would just be attractive to a broader market if splicing weren't necessary. Another minor quibble is that there could be a more pronounced center detent in those pots that have it; it's hard to find it. And the pots are not hard to figure out, except you can't tell bass from treble. Would it be so hard to label them? I also replaced the cheap jack with a high quality Switchcraft. Also, these are not quite standard size PJ pickups, they are slightly overlarge. I had to rout the cavity a little bigger for the J, and grind the pickguard a bit to fit the P. Only problem with this would be it makes the prospect of ever going back to normal size in the future difficult if not impossible. But all in all I really love these, and the price is astonishing. $40 compared to $180 for EMGs. This wonderful vintage Ibanez now sounds even more amazing! Especially when using the "Vintage" control on my MarkBass Littlemark II and using the P pickup alone. Want to go back to a more modern sound? Turn that control off. Review: Literal perfection! One tiny nit-pick.. - VAST improvement over the stock garbage that came with my $80 overseas P-bass purchase. I'm a guitar player that needs to lay down some basic bass lines to complete songs. So I bought nearly the cheapest, but nicest looking bass axe I could get... It was just WEAK and toneless. These pickups added SO MUCH SOUL and options, and fullness, and addictive authoritative sound!! FANTASTIC. The whole set is already assembled!! That created one tiny problem... If these are all already soldered together, how in the world, do they expect you to route the pickup wire through the little hole??? lol.. SO, you will have to cut (or unsolder) the pickup wires from the pots, route it, then re-solder them.. no biggy. Assembles as fast as these possibly could hassle-free, and makes your bass go from age 9 to a broad-shouldered mature accomplished 30 yo in like 30 minutes!! And they're active! Cheap too!! TRY THEM!! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Had to correct their wiring mistakes. *by B***0 on November 14, 2022* Off the bat, no labels on the backside of the pots (volume, bass and treble). Obviously the blend pot stands out. Second, the pickups were wired to the wrong positions on the blend pot, so it selected the pickup opposite the direction of the turn of the knob. After some careful testing with my DVOM, I got the wiring figured out and repaired. Didn’t hinder me much, but if you aren’t electronics savvy, you might be disappointed.
