It is hard to slide open, and the lock picks are of a metal but not that strong. From my experience with them I would class this item as more gimmick. **Q: how thin are the picks? Good enough for a real lock?** A: Thickness is 0.5mm (or around 20 thou). That's about 'medium' for a lock picking tool. Thickness is a trade off between being thin enough to get the pick into the lock, and thick enough for strength.
