    I don't usually leave reviews but felt compelled to do so with this book. After reading many other books by Robert Mccammon, this was one of the few remaining left to read.  My husband read it before I did, and being a rock fan thought he would enjoy it, however, he abandoned it after a quarter of the way through. Undeterred, I read it to the end, all the time hoping it would impove.  To my utter disappointment it did not.  I found it extremely tedious at times and so boring and repetetive that i skipped many pages.  I found the level of detail over the top and irrelevant, and although the plot was ok, the writing style was quite different to the author's other books. I hate abandoning a book part-way through but, regretfully,  sincerely wish I had on this occasion.

    McCammon moves into somewhat different territory with this contemporary story. Following a 'botched' TV interview, the band of the title are stalked and terrorised by a suicidal disenchanted war veteran. Although  this sounds somewhat predictable and formulaic, the charachterisation and tension make this an excellent addition to the authors repertoire.
