I feel the shoe is about a 3.8in because I struggle to find comfort in 4in but not these. The arch is perfect for my foot. I have wide feet so the small toe box worked for me. You just have to know how to stretch a D'Orsay to make the most of them. I am a 9 in closed toe, 8.5 in open and D'Orsay. I got an 8.5, although there wasn't a ton of room in the toe box they fit true to size and didn't hurt. I feel like getting the proper size is very important in the comfort of this shoe. After wearing them for nearly two months, the heel caps had worn very badly. I decided to get them replaced with my shoe cobbler, in hopes of continuing to get some good wear out the shoes. Less than a month after the heel caps were replaced, one of the heel shafts broke in half! I do work in a corporate environment, but I do not walk long distances.Overall, I was disappointed in their durability. For this price, I had expected a much higher quality shoe.
