I am very, very happy that I tried the Pilot G2 – this is a reasonably priced, great quality pen. The gel ink flows smoothly and evenly and dries very quickly, so no smudging. On paper, the pen line looks solid, crisp, and consistent - even on a paper that has a little texture. The pen is well made, not cheap plastic, and I like that it's clear plastic so you can see if the ink is running low. I bought the black pens, and I will definitely try some of the colored pens as well. I’m really pleased with these and plan to order more black pens so that I have a supply on hand.
