I used this dual hitch extension this past week and was not to pleased with its performance. The tolerances are not very good which does not give the connections a tight fit. The end that goes into the hitch is 1 7/8 inches. My hitch hauler is just fractions under 2 inches. Plus the receiver end of it where I would stick my hitch haler is actually 2 1/8 inches instead of 2. This does not sound like a lot but it allows for to much play between the connections. The tolerances should be much tighter. My hitch hauler tilts away from my vehicle and rocks like a rocking chair. This does not happen if I am not using the extension. If you are towing this may not be a big deal but I think these connections should be much tighter. They are on any other towing accessories I have purchased. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Didn't see that coming *by B***Y on Reviewed in the United States on September 12, 2013* I have a hitch bike rack and a utility trailer I use frequently. Got tired of removing my bike rack to tow the trailer and found this device. Installed the bike rack in the top receiver and the 4" drop ball mount in the lower receiver. The trailer coupler lever would not clear the bike rack in the open position. In other words, the two receivers are stacked too close to eachother. Yes, I could buy a 6" drop ball mount, but then my trailer tongue would ride too low.I don't think the design has been tested at all. The extension sticks waaay out from your vehicle, making parking lots difficult to negotiate, and pedestrian shins bruised. The welds are awefull, and the sections of square tubes were not cut straight, making the upper receiver badly misaligned. My bike rack tilted to the side badly during the 5 minute test fit.I could make it work, but the compromises far outweigh the convenience. I am using on a Jeep Wrangler, and this serves the purpose of extending the receiver past the spare tire enough the I can use my bike rack on the top connection, and a trailer on the bottom connection.
