As a petite woman, I had to make it work. I zip tied it in place with some 180lb zip, once it was in place, cocking was a breeze. The release lever still leaves much to be desired. But once it's "stuck in place" it works just fine. I can't really cock the device without it, now it's fast and easy. I'm ordering some 250lb zips to keep with me so I can replace the current ones when the old ones wear out, so if you're trying to mimic me (check for wear, don't wait til it breaks, I'm sure it'll fly up - keep snips with you, and use the foot rest and angle the bow as if you were cocking it with a string and crank it - takes 2 secs) with this mod, the device is worth about 35-50 bucks. But no doubt this is the worst design i've ever seen!!! How could they think to release it?
