I searched for lumen output vs halogen watt equivalent foe LEDs. This 75W LED should've come close to matching my 500W halogen bulb. It did put out a nice warm light, but significantly less bright then my existing halogen bulb.The other weird thing (but it could be my 30 year old lamp fixture) is that the LED would put out a very dim light even when the lamp was off. Maybe the dimmer rheostat never truly goes to zero when off (I think this has nothing to do with the bulb).
