I've been using MCM speakers for 20+ years, and they are the best, low cost product out there. I bought 4 of these woofers to use 2 each in Pro/DJ type speaker cabinets (replacing 3 blown woofers from the previous owner). These are the cabinets made by several manufacturers that contain to 15" woofers, a mid piezo horn and 3 piezo tweeters. After replacing the woofers with these, we are powering the speakers with a Crown Micro-Tech 600 Amp; and they are really rockin' the house! I won't make an outlandish statement saying they'll replace $500 woofers, but they do what I needed them to do. They have pretty solid bass, and are fairly smooth through the upper midrange without any crossover, inductor or anything.
