I use this pod to go back and forth between my regular running shoes and my minimalist shoes and it works great with both. I've used it with quick laces and regular laces and it fits snugly over the triangle fastener of most quick laces for a not-even-there feel. It does not affect performance of the pod at all that I have noticed. The clear cover slides on with a "click" and that's when you know it's on right and it's not going anywhere. I switch between shoes every 2 or 3 days and I haven't noticed any visible wear and tear in the two months I've had it. Thankfully this device works really well with the sensor. You will definately have to find the right position to put it on your sneaker to get a good reading (mine is at the bottom part of the laces) and the first few runs you will have to know the distance that you are running so you can calibrate the chip to work with your shoes but after that its all gravy. It is a little bluky and ungainly, but im running i dont care how it looks as long as it works! great product, very durable, good with any type brand of shoes and does take a beating. I had one for a couple of years and it served me well, but then it fell apart when I was running on some mountain in Japan. That kinda sucked, but in it's defense I had noticed it being a little loose and 'not right' several runs before it fell to pieces. You've gotta look for it getting a little loose after a couple of years of constant use, and replace it. Other than that no complaints.
