Threads are only on the bottom. **Q: Are these compatible with the Monfrotto 200PL tripod plate?** A: They worked with my old Manfrotto tripod. And they worked with my other tripods that aren't Manfrotto. As far as your 200PL, I don't have that one, so I couldn't tell you. Sorry.
