Then I couldnt open it AT ALL! Tried to reset my password about 300 times, tried to pry it open, it just wouldn’t work at all. Had to take a really sharp knife and force it open. Sucks cause it was so pretty. The diary appears to be holding up to repeated opening and closings and should last. The binding looks to be of good quality as well with no tearing or pages becoming loose from use. The locking mechanism is not substantial and would be easy to force open however, it does the job, is simple to operate and has deterred a younger sibling from viewing the contents. There are plenty of lined pages for entries as well as blank pages towards the end of the diary.
